Adult Eye Exam
Importance of eye exams:
Like the rest of your body, eyes undergo gradual changes with age. In their early stages, many diseases may not affect vision and there may be no other symptoms. Therefore, they can go undiagnosed. In addition to eye ailments, several common health conditions such as High Blood Pressure, Arthritis and Diabetes can be detected through a comprehensive eye exam.
How often should one get an eye exam?
We recommend that an eye exam should be done every 12 to 24 months to maintain good ocular health and to detect any changes in vision.
Children’s Eye Exam
Importance of eye exams for children:
Regular eye exams are very important for children as certain vision changes often go unnoticed. Sensory processing, motor skills, linguistics skills, coordination and academic performance can be compromised in children with vision problems.
How often to schedule an eye exam for my child?
All children should have their first eye examination as early as 6 months of age. This is to ensure their eyes are developing normally and no signs of amblyopia or strabismus (“lazy eye”) are present. Children should again have their eyes checked at ages 3 , 5 and every year thereafter. As children develop their eyes change rapidly, therefore catching these changes early is crucial to prevent setbacks in school.

Driver’s License Eye Exam
Importance of Drivers License eye exams:
Before obtaining your driver’s license, it is required to get an eye exam done. Our doctors will examine eyes to assess vision requirements for driving, complete the required paperwork for the license and will also prescribe treatment that allows you to meet the requirements of safe driving.
